Recognising cutting-edge technologies that bridge civilian and defence applications

We’re proud to share that Magics has been nominated for the 2026 Future Unicorn Award, in the Dual-Use Technology category, presented by DIGITALEUROPE, the leading voice of digitally transforming industries in Europe.

This prestigious recognition highlights Europe’s most promising tech companies with exceptional growth potential, cutting-edge innovation and the capacity to become the continent’s next global tech champions.

The Future Unicorn Award celebrates companies that demonstrate both strong business performance and meaningful contributions to Europe’s digital transformation. Magics earned its nomination for its achievements in radiation-tolerant semiconductor technology, designed for use in space, nuclear, and other high-reliability environments. Our integrated circuits, developed in standard CMOS, support precision timing, control, and sensing in systems where most electronics cannot operate. This includes applications such as satellite communication, in-orbit servicing, nuclear inspection, and fusion diagnostics.

Our mission is to enable resilient, high-performance electronics in environments where reliability is non-negotiable. We are committed to supporting Europe’s long-term goals in security, scientific progress, and technological sovereignty, by providing trusted, ITAR-free semiconductor solutions that bridge civilian and defence needs.

“This nomination is a recognition of the dual-use nature of what we build, and the confidence placed in us by our customers and partners across high-reliability markets. We’re proud to contribute to Europe’s deep tech ecosystem and to the infrastructure that underpins it.”

Jens Verbeeck, CEO, Magics

The winner of the 2026 Future Unicorn Award will be announced on 25 February 2026 during the gala dinner of Masters of Digital (MoD2026) in Brussels, Europe’s flagship conference on digital policy. A full-day conference will follow on 26 February.
