Magics is hiring a Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of high-reliability semiconductor solutions for space, nuclear, aerospace, and defense applications.
This is a technical, high-impact role focused on the design of advanced analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, from architecture definition through silicon validation. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to create products that operate reliably in some of the world's most demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits, such as Op-Amps, ADC/DAC, LDOs, DC/DC converters, Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) and Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design requirements, propose solutions, and troubleshoot design issues.
- Perform simulation and validation of designs, using both software tools and hands-on lab testing.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in semiconductor design, contributing to our culture of continuous innovation.
Qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree in Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design, with a strong portfolio showcasing Op-Amps, ADC/DAC, DC/DC, VCO and/or PLL design expertise.
- Proficient with CAD tools for IC design (such as Cadence or Synopsys) and experience with semiconductor process technologies.
- Solid understanding of the principles of RF design and mixed-signal IC design.
- Experience taking projects from the concept phase, through chip architecture, writing electrical specifications and process technology selection.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous approach to design and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a varied audience
