Meet Magics at RADECS 2026, from 28 September to 2 October at the Prague Congress Centre, Czech Republic. Visit us at booths #64β65 to explore our radiation-hardened integrated circuits for space applications.
RADECS brings together the international radiation effects community to exchange the latest research and developments in radiation effects on electronic and photonic components, devices and systems. This year's technical program covers topics ranging from radiation effects in devices and ICs and Single Event Effects (SEE) to radiation hardening techniques, hardness assurance, dosimetry and complex systems.
For Magics, RADECS is an important opportunity to connect the research behind radiation effects with the engineering of electronics designed to operate reliably in demanding radiation environments.
Meet us at booths #64β65
Throughout the exhibition, our team will be available to discuss Magics' portfolio of radiation-hardened ICs and how IC-level integration can help engineers simplify critical electronic architectures while maintaining the performance and reliability required for space systems.
Visitors will be able to learn more about our solutions across Clock & Timing, Imaging, and Motion Control & Sensor Interfaces, and discuss specific requirements and applications with our team.
Magics is officially exhibiting at booths #64β65.
Joining the technical program
Beyond the exhibition, Maarten Strackx, our Senior IC Design Engineer, will present Magicsβ work on the single-event characterization of phase-locked loops.
The presentation looks at how PLLs respond to single-event transients and introduces a direct TDC-based measurement approach capable of capturing phase disturbances with picosecond resolution over a wide dynamic range. Heavy-ion testing showed that these perturbations can range from very small phase shifts to events exceeding a full cycle, underlining the importance of accurately characterizing PLL behaviour in radiation environments.
The work reflects Magicsβ broader focus on combining radiation-hardening expertise with high-performance timing electronics for reliable space systems.
